Druid
Just ordered a s&w 15/22 as I do like the AR/M4 stuff. Just for plinking really, but will need to get some optics on it with my eyes! I fancy a compact low mag (x4 ish) scope, not a conventional 3-9x40 for example. lots of acog copies on the Bay but I would wager that most are junk for air soft use. Any body got any ideas? welshwarrior
A simonds 1.25-5 x24 works very well IMHO.
saddler
I've got a very nice unused Millet 1-4x scope on here for sale. Ideal for a .22 AR
Sco77w
I have one of these on my 15-22 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Good-Tactical-Mil-dot-Sight-Recon-Rifle-Telescope-Scope-1-5-4X30-Water-fog-proof-/151100950107?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item232e51865b Its good for the rangse you'll be shooting and cheap but maybe a little heavy. I know a couple of guys who have a vision king that is a more compact scope with the same magnification, that is probably a better choice. cal 7888
Vortex crossfire 1-4x24 v-brite? £180.00 or if you want to spend abit more, Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 at £360 the crossfire is looking to be a massive hit, they are both designed for the AR-15 platform. all of the ACOG copies for £80 on ebay are like you said for airsoft, and are very poor quality! callum
Druid
Thanks for the replies. Think I will get a vision king to get me started but i fancy a vortex on the straight pull .223 that I am umming and ahhhing about.
shanekiely
i had a eotech replica from one of those chinese cheap deal sites (aliexpress) and it worked well for a while, but eventually the glass cracked from being re-zeroed. this was on a birmingham made M16 replica (bremmer arms) which is similar to an AR. make sure you get something tall ish because as you know the eye relief can be an issue without risers. Steel100
I have a Vortex Viper on my AR and it is very good but I would suggest having a look at the reticule before making a choice.
