Sunflowers to shoot over

One of the local farmers has got a contract with a bird seed supplier and is going to put in 5 acres of sunflowers...........anybody shot over this crop :shoot:

 

 

ive seen flocks of finches hit sunflowers in the fens a few years ago ...what about pigeons ? :hmmm:

Two winters back there was a unharvested field of sunflowers near Spalding , I travelled by it most weeks and there were hundreds of pigeons feeding on it. I've also seen pigeons feeding on sunflowers in cover crops so you might get a shoot if your farmer harvests them late

I suppose at times pigeons may eat them, but I can't say I've seen it.

They plant a block of them between me and Peter....I had shot 8 on a return line stuffed to the brim so I rang him up...and said they have sunflower seeds in!

So he said must be out of a garden, I replied ######ing big garden!!

As they had come from behind me I followed the rough line and found a big block of them....Cant shoot it but it would be nice if we could
