motty
Guns don't necessarily have to be steel proofed to be able to shoot HP steel shot.
heardandseen
i cannot see that particular mark but i has a bnp with a crown on the barrel with a circle with c above a d and then near the ejectors there is two cross swords with b p 4 on the swords
Scully
No, 'classic double proof steel' doesn't mean it has been steel proofed. However, there is nothing to stop you using steel shot through it. I used Gamebore Super Steel 4's and 3's through my 101's with no problems, and I believe these are HP loads. I've never used anything tighter than 1/2 at the muzzle. Gunman
I would say no as there was no "steel shot " proof when this was imported and sold .
