Frenchieboy
As I recall yes, you have to put your referees details down on the application form and your referees have to sign the back of one of the photos each with the date and stating that "This is a good likeness of ....." Good luck with your application!
superspark
Have a look on your local firearms licensing department. There you will find down loadable application forms and a help guide to help you fill it out correctly.
lloydi73
Hi Mossy, I've just submitted my FAC to Thames Valley...I think the rules have slightly changed now....Both referees have to sign the back of one photo each and date it, you have to sign and date the back of a 3rd, and the 4th is left clear. I filled out the forms for my referees and just got them to sign it. I did give them the oportunity to read through the entire 11 page application, but they have both known me for 20 odd years, so trusted me. phaedra1106
Referees do not have to sign the correct version of Form 201, if in any doubt download the official Home Office forms from the BASC site. http://basc.org.uk/firearms/certificate-forms-and-fees/ Photograph requirements are 4 identical photographs one of which you must sign on the back in ink. Details are in the Form 201A Application notes from the link above. Edited June 2, 2014 by phaedra1106
