mossy835
want to paint the back window on my van, what is the best paint to buy.its white.
station
If you're painting straight onto glass then do a search for an industrial paint supplier. Self etch glass paint is readily available - most common use is on kitchen splash backs where they use glass rather than ceramic tiles. Just remember to paint the inside of the window for ease of cleaning etc.

Albert 888
As above,b&q sell rolls of it sticky back plastic, black, white, wood effect, chrome and so on.i have used it on door pillars and also covered sheets of alloy plate for landrover protection. Its also very easy to use and forgivable.
matty*
Does the sticky back plastic bubble or is it easy applied? Thinking of doing this?
Albert 888
Get everything clean and dust free and put it on from the outside and you will be fine. Ive done a few door pillars and some alloy pannels with great success
bazzab
Does the sticky back plastic bubble or is it easy applied? Thinking of doing this? Ye easy peasy. As above mate. Get glass extra clean. Run a razor blade over it few times. If needs be spray very slight mist of water on glass. And fit vinyl wet. Then as with the air work water from middle out. Hairdryer to warm outer edges and your away. Where abouts are ya mate?
Scully
Watched a bloke tinting windows on a brand new Landrover Vogue last week. Used loads of soapy (baby bath) water to apply vinyl. Looked a top notch job, but was surprised to see all that soapy water running down the inside of the door panels. Can that be a good thing? bazzab
Window tint is completely different material to sign vinyl mate. Its no where near as user friendly. Hence all the soapy water. And yes that wouldve been fine, car doors are designed to allow water to run inside them and out the bottom. Theres a waterproof membrane behind the door card to keep it out the cabin. bazzab
Just used normal spray paint on both vans and it worked spot on And its stayed on ok? Cant imagine it would take much for it to flake off mate. Has no way of keying to the glass?

glb8686
It chips off easily but you should really mesh or board over the windows to stop break ins anyway so wouldn't get touched
