Any standard RC type quick charger will do, it's only a 4 cell nimh pack so you don't need anything special. Don't get a wall charger as they can ruin the battery. Should be able to get something for about £10-£15 that will be fine.

I ran mine on 40:1 mix, went very well. They are a blast, used to run mine on the beach with 6 others, great in the dunes and they are very solid. Get some shock covers before you run it, this will save you loads of cleaning time. Also a good filter for the carb saves getting any nasties into the motor. You'll ruin the standard tyres within minutes if you run on Tarmac so find dirt for it!

Thanks, it has shock covers on, some of the other advice is a bit over my head at the moment, but ill learn as i go, so is 25/1 mix not enough oil or is it what works best for you Buggy ?

Thanks

25/1 is too much oil. Perhaps the first couple of tanks should be 25:1 but after that lower the oil content and you'll get better performance and throttle response.

I strongly suggest you go to forums that specialise in these and they are big expensive cars that will hurt your pocket if you get it wrong.

32/1 is in the middle of the range you could use. The metal clutch carrier is a must and they can be picked up for as little as £15 if yours is stock plastic. If you need any advice just asked.

Have a look on modelsport forum there's loads of info in the 1/5 scale section.

Hi. I have a FG monster truck and I take this on the beach in the winter, always have a crowd watching after a bit.

Only bit of advice I will give is make sure you have a fail safe fitted for peace of mind, they are not that expensive compared to the cost of a car and will stop a runaway car from hitting something/somebody.

Cheers. Vulture.
