BLACK
I was wondering if anyone has seen any proper reviews of gun safes. There are many on the market and although all should be to British Standard it is obvious that some will be better than others. Before I invest in a new cabinet I'd be interested in the pros and cons of the various makes and the safety and appropriateness of the various locking systems. I like the idea of digital and biometric but are they actually safe if you'll pardon the pun

Biometric.... wouldn't trust it, electronic... wouldn't trust it... (not without some proper independant verification) Very very few gun safes would be rated Euro 0 http://www.safeoptions.co.uk/blog/what-do-eurograde-safe-ratings-mean/ Have a look at the cost and weight difference between a gun cabinet and a euro safe of similar size (if you can find one) http://www.safelincs.co.uk/ranger-grade1-eight-gun-cabinet/ http://www.littlesafe.co.uk/product.php/2451/1157/gs10_gun_cabinet_light_grey_burton_gun_safe Edited June 23, 2014 by HDAV
moorvale55
Don't go Bio or electronic, use the keys. If anything goes wrong with the former 2 how do you open the safe?

figgy
I have a buffalo river ten gun safe with internal safe box and find its great, tall enough for my 32" guns and plenty of room. The interior is all lined out and the door has some shelves. One key opening with handle. Depends on what range you go for in any make. The higher the range the better the safe, heavier gauge metal etc. Figgy
