loriusgarrulus
Yes that's just a valve and gauge. Out of interest do you have a gauge on your rifle cylinder? Also what test pressure is shown on your rifle cylinder? No gauge as it is the earlier Mk 4. OH has the MK 4is which does have a digital readout. Only markings say WP (working pressure) 230 bar. Notthing else visible unless its under the walnut stock. P.S We used to live in Shepshed. Edited July 19, 2014 by loriusgarrulus
birdsallpl
OK it was just a thought. You would usually fill to 230 bar but cylinder rated for much higher. Shepshed, very close. Quorn
deershooter
Loriusgarrulus Repeating myself and sorry, but please remember to ensure it is the same pressure rating as the main cylinder. Higher than the main cylinder is OK but never lower Your gun is not rated at 300 bar most are 200-240 Deershooter

loriusgarrulus
Bought the gun and cylinder from a Ex Daystate Engineer at SCR not worried about the bottle to rifle..
birdsallpl
That's very true and I must confess appears a daily practice. My filling cylinder is 230 bar and the rifle cylinder is 200bar with a test pressure of 300bar. One should never consider going above the Working pressure but the test pressure is a safeguard. It appears that the guidelines for domestic use on this type of operation is no where near as comprehensive or as safe as it is in industry. silver pigeon69
Will have a look at the carbon fibre as not got the muscles you blokes have and can't expect OH to carry everything. Not looking for many fills, just for topping up at the indoor range we go to. Up two flights of steep stairs. When paying for 2 hours to play and run out of air after 1.5 hrs its a bit annoying. be careful with the carbon fibre, they are not as hard wearing and a scratch on the cylinder can cause them to fail their inspection. im not sure now, but a few years ago they had to sent to a specialist to be tested as well
