spandit
Do I need a 1-for-1 variation to buy a new rimfire mod? I'm looking to buy a new rifle but fancy trying a different mod to the one it comes with. Am I allowed to own more than one?
steve_b_wales
You can only have another one IF you have it listed on your certificate to allow you to purchase one. You would have to sell or dispose of the one you have now, then get a one for one variation to allow you to buy the other one. You could also pay £26.00 to have another one added to your ticket. It's a pain, I know, but that's our wonderful firearm laws for you.

spandit
Will a moderator designed for a .177 air rifle work on a .17HMR?
Davyo
RDF if playing by the rules will also insist on a variation, like for like should be free.
