THAIBOXER
Hi again as before posted 45 letters off, got 5 phone calls back, all no good, but respect them for calling me and explaining why, but 1 gave me another farmer who i saw, quite promising. one passing my name on.... sending another 45 today, its only stamps and envelopes, about same price as ad in local paper all up. if no good after that its smart casual dress and door knocking as you guys said. IT WON'T GET THE BETTER OF ME!!!!! Will keep you updated and thanks for all your comments. p.s. ordered some of them predator poly tip .22 pellets from target sports, get them before weekend. told they wont work in my s410k but try in my omega.... let you know how they go... Catamong
I had a laugh the other day, I looked up local Farmers in one of these so called local Directories on the Interweb net thingy. I would say that at least 50% of the so called "Local Farmers" listed had either died, sold up, or moved elsewhere. You're wasting your time and money sending them unsolicited mailshots, far better to visit in person when you can see birds feeding on their crops, or tap them up over a pint in the local pub, (but don't go dressed as a Thaiboxer). Good luck, there's plenty of shooting out there for those that know how to get it. Cat.
Cranfield
The best thing about the face to face approach, is that it gives them the chance to have a look at you. Don't forget that most of us form an opinion of somebody, within the first five minutes of talking to them, Farmers are no different.
