spandit
I don't want to stick Velcro onto the woodwork or metalwork of my new rifle so wondered if there was a way of mounting a switch without having to resort to this? mick miller
The velcro adhesive comes off without marking of you use a little IPA. So don't worry about it damaging your stock in any way.
Dougy
Stretchy velcro straps. I had your opinion once year's ago, but now just stick velcro on, it doesn't mark, not that I've noticed anyway.
spandit
Oh, OK then. I might try the straps first and then see how I get on as not sure where to mount it. On my .22LR the Velcro patch is stuck quite far back so I presume the original owner used a bipod as it's not comfortable reaching it without. I quite like it on the fore-end although thinking about mounting it on the tang for pressing with my right thumb. A friend of mine even had the idea of mounting it on the butt so it comes on when you shoulder the rifle - might be some merit in it, I suppose...
