wymberley
Just a heads up to anyone who uses these with a remote cable switch. Keep an eye on the cable outer sleeve where it comes out of the end cap - noticed mine had split all the way around by the grommet. It's easy enough to sort out as the aluminium insert in the cap unscrews. With this out you can push the cable through the grommet, remove the broken bit of sleeve and by putting a loop in the twin cables flat against the underside of the aluminium insert, reassemble without having to worry about cutting and re-soldering the contacts - but you'd only get away with this once. I now loop the cable around the scope once to keep its weight off that point.

mick miller
All these type will wear eventually regardless of torch. As you say, it's an easy fix.
