LowStandards
I've just bought a 2 seater sports car with 300k on the clock, its as sweet as and was a third of the price Milage means nothing more than you'll get a cheaper car as some idiot thinks anything over 100k is spent... Mungler
I just bought a 1 owner S500L on a P plate 1997 with full main dealer history and 12 months mot. 65,000 miles Drove it back from Bristol last weekend and it's like an arm chair on wheels. £2100 I didn't want one or need one, I just couldn't say no to it The thing about cars is that you don't need to buy a **** box - there's always a good car out there for the money if you look hard, are patient and don't mind travelling a bit. I wouldn't buy a car with over 100k on the clock for the simple reason that I could find something better, with less miles and for less money. aris
Was in a minibus in latvia ( Merc) which had done 705,000kms. Me too VW Jetta taxi in Greece over 500000 Km's. His secret - change oil with fully synthetic every 5000 k's. Running car 24x7 (in shifts) probably didn't hurt either.

four-wheel-drive
All about looking after the car and regular servicing. Look at most of the older black cabs 3 to 400k+ is not uncommon I do not think that black cabs are a good comparison to normal cars as they are made to be simple and parts are quickly available and they do not I think have all of the problem electronics on them that most cars do today I do not no what the new ones are like probably getting as bad as cars to get around the emission rules.
