  1. Hi, Sorry for the poor advert, it was done on my phone amd failed during a photo upload so I didn't think it had gone through. The gun certainly isn't new, but is in lovely condition. I'm having a mind block at the minute and cant decide if the barrels are 28"
  2. What is a qualified mechanic? Is there some sort of course or test? As far as I read it, anyone can do your service, some warranties may have a clause about oe parts, but if that’s enforceable in law is another thing. We’ve gone off topic a bit
  3. I just checked EU Block Exemption laws let customers get cars serviced outside dealer networks without invalidating their warranty. But manufacturer service schedules must be followed and original equipment parts used. Unsure if oe parts mean they must come from the dealer mind. It seems unlikely and unenforceable Another reason to not buy new I guess
  4. Pretty sure they can’t enforce this type of thing anymore?
  5. ECP puts an air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and oil at a smidge under £90. And that’s just the first place I looked Surely a no brainer to do it on the driveway?
  6. ***! A bag of sand! Did you just go with the first bloke who turned up? Does he drive a transporter? Never trust someone with a VW, clearly charge to much...
  7. I use a ChamberView https://www.bushwear.co.uk/other-chamber-view-semi-automatic-shotgun-safety-device-332715.html More of a stiff rubber type affair, no damage and literally pushes in and pulls out, no squeezing, pinching etc, plus it sticks out a fair bit to give a good indication of safe
  8. Single make forums are dead handy for problem finding, but damn they are normally dull and the ones I frequent (classics) tend to hate you if you want to modify... I suggest everyone takes a look at http://retrorides.proboards.com because it's a community of folks who don't care what car you have as long as you make it interesting... (well, it's gotta be older than 2000ish really)
  9. Pistonheads is fine if all you want is people telling you there particular BMW is better than your particular BMW It's a very open question really, what sort of car do you want to view, I don't mean make, I mean like retro, classic, ****ty BMW, etc etc
  10. Bump and price drop, really need this gone due to circumstance change. It's got electric windows and remote central locking A towbar An Alpine stereo with bluetooth for your phone and all that jazz £850ono
  11. Apologies Located in Burton on Trent, between Derby and Birmingham
  12. As the title really 2.0L, just ticked 100k Mot till august Realiable as sin 5 door, lwb Lifted 2" 29" Insa Dakars around 5 months old Usual age related marks on body. The only rust appears to be on the rear arches, but only the lip where the door covers it, so unseen unless rear doors are open Overall a brilliant little 4x4 £1000
  13. I also have a grand Vitara, 2002, 2" lift and new 29" mud tyres I use it mainly on road, but it's been brilliant at my perm at not getting stuck in the heavy land rover rutted tracks I'll be wanting to sell soon, not getting the use it deserves as my mate has a new truck and we always go in his so a bit of a waste on the road all the time...
  14. Grey area in my mind Land rover forums would have you believe if it is exactly like for like and it's brand new its fine. I'm pretty sure to do so it has to come from the original manufacturer but the dvla don't know their **** from their elbow and hey, land rovers right...
  15. The chassis carries the vehicle identity so buying an old chassis and dipping, thats completely illegal. But hey, Land Rovers right...
  16. What's wrong with a hand pump?
  17. Not many public roads are barriered off and only 100 yards long... it might become road legal if i can be fussed to jump through the hoops...
  18. Took my mobility scooter out for its first test since I built it Did not expect that! http://s67.photobucket.com/user/2002gimp/media/VID-20160814-WA0010_zpsblewg56t.mp4.html
  19. This is all sorts of wrong Except the last sentence
  20. This is exactly what happened to my mates airbeam, the porch area and it wasn't badly put up. The storm straps are comical as they go across the living area so you have to step through them. I think as a concept they seem a good idea, but in reality, what's wrong with a few poles, they just work...
  21. It'll probably make your speedo more accurate as they under read as standard (mines now GPS verified at 68mph when the clock reads 70). I'd be more worried about the gearing, but I imagine the hilux has a hefty lump in it? I've just gone up 7% over standard on my Suzuki and it's pretty dire acceleration wise now, but then it never was meant to be a rocketship and it goes through mud like anything. My insurance company didn't see tyres as a mod, but always worth ringing them...
