spanj
We have a classic Rapido Recordmatic folding caravan. Foods down into a trailer about 7 feet long, 5 feet wide and 3 foot high. Folds out into a 12 foot by 7 foot solid caravan. Weighs in at about 500 kilo so can tow it with a 1.2 engined car or even a classic mini 1.0L. We are currently restoring the front box, and I plan on building a car port of sorts to store it. We have been all over in it. Most recently to the Cotswolds and towed it with the 1.3 Wagon R+. Oh how I'd love to be stuck behind that combination... Not. Each to their own but I just don't get the caravanning thing and think they should only be allowed to travel in the hours of darkness. loriusgarrulus
Imagine getting stuck behind ours. 18ft caravan plus movano crewcab van.
Lord Geordie
Spanj, My Wagon R may be a 1.3, but it pulls like a train. I had a 1.8 cavalier before and the Wagon R beats it hands down for pulling. I can get up to 60mph not a problem due to the van only weighing around 500kg. I under estimated the Wagon R myself when we bought it. I thought it would be pants. But in fairness, it's a cracking motor for it's size. Good on fuel and loads of room inside. It's like a tardis. I would have another tomorrow not a problem!
