malkiserow
Seems these are popular but I've never had one? Are they any good for Christmas or are they just a big chicken? Why are they so popular?
Berettacocker
Used to have them a lot for christmas as me dad found turkey too dry. They were big birds, really nice if I remember right, sure they called them Capons.
loriusgarrulus
We used to have a capon every year for Christmas when I was younger, very tasty. The original caponised cockerels had some sort of chemical castration ( possibly hormone injection) which got banned if I remember right. I am sure their is a new version available now . Blackpowder
For a few years we had a free range ,"cockeral" raised by a wise old countryman now sadly deceased. Much more taste than any turkey I have had before or since. Blackpowder
