beesley121
Hi guys, My sgc is due up for renewal, I got my fac in November of last year and I'm debating if I should go coterminous or not. Just don't know if I will have to go through all the red tape again and if I will loose out money wise What do you think?
HDAV
Prices will go up at some point, gamble and go co term on fac renewal in 4 years.... Or go co term now and you have paid £50 for an 18 month fac.
clakk
do it ,my sgc was a year and arf old when i did fac and went co terminus as its all now done in 1 go and at the minute far cheaper .if you do separate certs theres an election next year and the commies want to charge 200 quid as we are all landed gentry and can afford it says MS cooper wife of no <ed>balls.so when your renewals come it could be darned expensive.co terminus now buys u 5 years of security from liebour or the torys backpeddling atb
Paul T
I'm in exactly the same boat with SGC up for renewal and FAC just over a year old. I really don't know what to do either, but it's just hassling your referees once if you go co-term, plus cost saving. Interested to hear others thoughts... drut
" I really don't know what to do either, but it's just hassling your referees once if you go co-term, plus cost saving" When I renewed in 2013 I chose co-terminus for those reasons:shotgun referee is also one FAC referee so one less dose of hassle plus as stated cost saving.Although I understand and agree with the need for thorough checks etc.any way to cut unnecessary duplication must be good.I see that since my renewal, things have changed re:referee forms in particular so others may advise you better.Personally I always feel awkward/embarrassed asking someone to act as referee for me and try and keep their inconvenience/hassle to a minimum. HDAV
.Personally I always feel awkward/embarrassed asking someone to act as referee for me and try and keep their inconvenience/hassle to a minimum. Recently had to get a referee for work (working on an MOD site, it was amazing the number of guys at work who had no idea who they could ask to referee for them! Got my mate who did my SGC a couple of months ago to do mine! Happily he is ideal having security clearance and no record.
BangBangNik
It's only going to cost £10 more and even if prices stay the same you will save 3 times that at the next renewal. I've just put in for my fac and opted to renew sgc at the same time.
team tractor
I will next time in two years( sgc) which will leave 18 months fac left to loose out on . I have plenty to ask to referee , my mates mum who was a teacher has signed 3 lots so far and any of my mates normally say yes. I've signed for the lad that works for me. shootgun
I got my FAC 6 months after my SGC and i put in for renewal despite my SGC being only a few months old. Make sense to renew both in the same time.
