iamspuddy
Myself and three friends ,all experienced wildfowling club members in the west country , usually go away for a couple of days each year. This year it was Solway firth. We are after some advice of somewhere to go next season. we would like a dog and shooting friendly b&b . As for the shooting , we are primarily after geese , but we would rather sit in a gutter on a marsh all day and maybe get one, than sit by decoys over stubble etc Any advice would be greatly appreciated . cheers
nic
Choices, choices, choices The wash, the fens, Tay, Northern firths, Orkney....you takes your pick All have good shooting. I would suggest checking the Basc booklet as well. Nic
Konnie
several clubs around the wash you could get maybe day tickets for a different marsh each day. Large area to cover

iamspuddy
i think we are quite easy on where to go, The Dee or the wash sounds good . We would just need some advice on where to shoot, passes and a good place to stay for 3 nights steve
nic
Unless it has changed recently, you need to contact the Dee Wildfowlers and arrange tickets and you would need a guide... Their website is the best point to start. Don't know the wash, sorry Edited January 10, 2015 by nic
fenboy
There are plenty of clubs issue tickets for the wash and as Konnie says you could try a different part each day you wish to shoot . Not a easy place to come to terms with if you have no experience there though , but get it right and you can do well.
Burgh
If you fancy a crack on the tay maybe I can help . I have been shooting it for 30 years .
Dee Wildfowler
The Dee does not do day tickets, never has! A member can apply for a ticket to take a guest on but only one person at a time and no more than twice in one season. John
