Fib new
Have been climbing a lot of trees the last few days while having a bit of a cold. Shoulders and ribs hurt like hell... Just put some red tiger balm on and seems to work ok... Pretty strong stuff!

Winston72
yes that's the one , where do you have them , does it hurt lol it usually goes into the muscle thats causing the problem and no it doesnt hurt any more than any other injection yes its a long needle, yes it will ache for a bit after but the injection itself is nothing
Donkey
Is it a nerve route injection?
big bad lindz
did the doc say what was wrong? yes no doubt the injections will help but may only end up masking a problem by taking the pain & discomfort away and making you think you can shift mountains again but the problem could still be underlying. As I mentioned before try a chiropractor or have a deep massage

kyska
finally had my cortisone injections in the shoulder a week ago Agggh bloody useless. I don't think he hit the right spot as it did,nt hurt at all. oh well Go see a physio, you might be surprised, most soft tissue problems respond really well, if, and a big if, you are committed to the exercises, they appear futile but are very effective. Doc has superb advice, being an orthobod. Be careful of anti inflammatory preparations, as they are considered a dose, so don't use the preps along with oral ibuprofen, diclofenac (voltarol). Good luck, sounds a pain in the neck.
