ajb403
Nice looking repair job there. My landy has been in my workshop since the end of September as the bulkhead needed a little bit of love and attention (understatement of the year), plenty of pics of my progress here: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f6/straight-6-rebuild-266514.html Edited January 12, 2015 by ajb403

A lot of projects like that get sold on, as some people loose heart, and others are out of there comfort zone. Brilliant mate,

Question........................wouldnt it been easier if you had taken the whole bulkhead out ....and then worked on it ?
TaxiDriver
Question........................wouldnt it been easier if you had taken the whole bulkhead out ....and then worked on it ? Possibly not, having the bulkhead mounted to the chassis keeps everything in the right place for welding up, The bulkhead to chassis bracket can be replaced as can the door pillar (that the wing bolts to) and the footwell section comes as a replacement panel. What he said. I figured if I took the bulkhead off I would end up warping it hence leaving it on and only cutting one bit out at a time so I had a frame of reference for the new bit to go into, I could have taken it off and created a jig for it but that's a lot of work, I'm limited for space and it could have bent when lifting it off of the vehicle! ;-)

They was saying on the TV today that one in three young people today can expect to live to be over 100 going by that you could have to do it another two or three times
