Just before you run out and buy the 391, I have both a 391 and a 303. The 391 will cycle anything without any problems and mine has had several thousand rounds through it, I tend to leave the Teague 3/8 choke in for everything. The downside is the 391 can be a pain to clean. It is all down to the valve assembly, it really does get dirty and the valve assembly has to be stripped to be cleaned. The 303 will handle a large range of cartridges too, but does prefer a bit more punch to operate without problem. I only use the gun for clays and find the Hull Superfarts work well in either fibre or plastic. But the 303 only takes half the time to clean. Just a simple piston and rod to wipe, no useless valve assembly to have to dismantle. I have owned many different makes of auto over the years but have to say the Beretta range have been the best in reliability and handling. If you plan on carrying your auto around and look at the Beretta, the field model does tend to be lighter in weight but no auto was ever designed for carrying well. So, good luck in your quest and do try the gun if you can. I have encountered the odd Friday afternoon Beretta.

I bought the A400 Xtreme some 8 months ago and am over the moon with it. It has cycled everything I've fed it and the felt recoil is very good. In fact the heavier the load the more you realise just how good it is.

After much reading and asking I narrowed it down to this. The quality is instantly apparent. Yes it was the most expensive, but had I bought any of the others I would have been left wanting.
