decroyffe
Hiya Johngalway, your movement might be restricted in a one peice suit, most snipers start with a para smock and take it from there. how do you intend to build up the suit? what materials etc
beatingisbest
why not try a boiler suit? They are cheap
Poacher
from my limited experience of wearing flight suits, if you don't get the right height suit the crotch ends up causing havoc on the the crown jewels , Crawling around in them isn't best practical.. bending over can give you a severe wedgie, your movement is restricted...... Just gathering at the moment so there's no joined up plan. I may take the strings out of the roll if I want to really torture myself or just cut it into strips. Use a cold water dye in a few earthy tones. Shoe Goo and webbing could also be used. Got a DVD last year called The Art Of Camouflage, showed 3 Ghillie suits being made. I'll take a gander at those para smocks Great stuff, if your going the all nine yards, don't forget to weather the suit once complete. bury it and leave it for a while. That way there'll be no artifitial smell and the suit will look completley natural. Good luck
Hunter
why not try a boiler suit? They are cheap Darn it, I was JUST about to write that Great minds think alike they say Would work fine. Hunter
Good stuff I hope you will show a few pics? I have always been interested in buying/making a Ghillie, but I have neither money nor time latley to justify laying in the field Il get some work done, let the rabbits finish their 'business' this time of year, and let the weather get still better, then try to get out at 4pm after work, summer evenings have provided some of the best rabbit shooting I ever had. oozelumbird
Army tank suit. Will cost you about £3.00 of a well hated auction sight. Damn near the same set up as a flight suit.
Marine1980
Mate you want to get a proper sniper smock, they have built in padding in shoulders, elbows and **** etc. They also have pockets on the side so that you can still use them when on your belly. They are ideal for using in any shooting position. Lee
