LOFTERS ?

Hi all

Does any1 use lofter's when decoying ? & if so what effect has it had ?

I don't bother with them, they're a pain in the rear to put up and take down, a rotary is far more effective.

I rarely use them when decoying over crops.

 

However, when the crops are quiet (especially when the birds are on the berries), they are very useful if you are sitting on the edge of a wood/hedgerow, or under a sitty tree.

thanks 4 your opinions, i was just thinking if they were not decoying very well & resting up in the surrounding trees if it would have been worth put a few up in a tree close to the hide.

I used lofters high up in a set of Oaks on a flight path. Worked very well for me, especially as Cranners said when it is quiet.

That can work, if the birds are a bit nervous coming into the decoys on the crop.

However, as catamong said, few people try it as its something else to carry.
