spandit
My Mondeo has developed a fault and after speaking to the local garage, it's not worth repairing - in decent nick the car would be worth up to £800 but there's a scrape down one side and one of the alloys is scrap so I'd ask for £500 if it wasn't playing up. As a result, I'll be scrapping it. If anyone wants parts off a 56 plate Mondeo TDCI Estate then just let me know!

spandit
How much to post the front passenger door window switch? Cheers I'll let you know. Just got it back from the garage and it behaved on the way home so might flog it as a runner which will save the hassle of dismantling
Harnser
Put it in your local car auction . You may get more than you think . Harnser
Suffolkngood
Most decent motors are making on average at least £500 above book value at present down the block (auction). It'll depend on how nice you can get it looking.
Twistedsanity
My friend got way too much money for his beaten up, scraped and broken down renault megane estate on flea baŷ from a polish guy who buys them and takes them back to polish land, I can only echo you will probably get more than you think of you advertise it

TaxiDriver
What alloys does it have ? Is it petrol or diesel ? What's the current problem that lead you to taking it in the garage ?
spandit
What alloys does it have ? Is it petrol or diesel ? What's the current problem that lead you to taking it in the garage ? It has 3 6-spoke alloys. The 4th was dented by a pothole. It's diesel & I started getting fuel pressure issues. They've replaced the filter which helps but apparently the injectors are on their way out
TaxiDriver
How much did your garage quote or estimate to do the injectors ? I'm guessing somewhere between a £1000 - £1500 ?
spandit
They said the rebuild cost was about £125 each but said the pump could do with a rebuild & the dual mass flywheel would probably fail soon. I could end up spending hundreds on a car that just isn't worth it

spandit
It's a known weakness & the car is high mileage - there's a high probability it will go at some stage if something else doesn't. As I said, it's running quite well at the moment so I'll shift it, otherwise it's just going to get worse until I'd have to sell it for scrap.
