darren m
anyone know of a coloured paint that can be used to paint parts underneath cars , stuff like bash plates on 4x4 and steering parts at the front, running gear etc. just thought it might look tidier than spraying wax oil everywhere
Kes
There is a black bitumastic type paint which might fit the bill. Just found this which may be of interest - dont know how expensive though. http://www.nanoshell.co.uk/protective-coatings/rust-proofing-metal
triumph_Dave
If you go on the Frost website at http://www.frost.co.uk/automotive-paint-coating-electroplating/automotive-paint/por15-paints.htmlthey will have just about everything you need. These are mainly all american products.. the POR range of automotive paints is the bees whatsits, but they are expensive.. however, if done correctly the POR paint range will take a hammering and last a long time. dave
loriusgarrulus
My Landy is NATO green paint underneath. Come to think of it, it is NATO green on top as well.

bazzab
Stone chip and paint. We always used to do that mate. Dot get the horrible black shutz that people often mistake for stone chip. Ours was grey in colour. Good coat of that, let it flash off then colour and lacquer. Stone guard gave it bags of protection and colour looked nice. Jesse James
Have a look at Under body Seal with added Waxoyl from Halfords. Just did all my under body, chassis and prop shafts etc. its a nice looking coating material and has the added Waxoyl. it remains tacky but looks very pleasing to the eyes not like a stone chip coating and gives a good finish and protection. I know your thread said not underseal as such but this stuff seems different and not like a **** under seal finish. lee Edited February 17, 2015 by Jesse James
