I use a Remmy 700 Mountain Rifle in 243, S & B 6 X 42 & Remmy 100grn Core Lokt ammo.

how do you find these rounds, i gave them a go through my tikka, i didnt find they were as accurate as federals. but my biggest issues was that i had a miss-fire with a core lokt round. when i emailed remington i had no come back, so decided not to purchase anymore.

have you had any issues with them.

The dog is a Teckel and belongs to a friend, he is only around 12 weeks old. He came from down Hereford way and is very well bred from working German Bloodlines, I can get you the contact details for the breeder if you are interested.

Thanks for the information.

I'm certainly not in the market for another hairy hooligan, but I appreciate the offer.

well Done :)

never seen a sika in life, still haven't after looking at youre picture :o

Are sika bigger or smaller then fallow deer, or same size?

They are about the same size as Red's H&H, but the main difference is they look like they are frowning when you look at the head on. Oh and they make a frightning squealing noise, I have never heard it in the wild but by all accounts if you hear it in a dark wood it frightens the life out of you

Have a look here for a far better description than that:

Crickey................thats big old lad...........are you planning on eating it?? I noticed you hadn't grolloched it....shot close to home??

Well done  :( :good:

Had a longish drag out through a muddy wet field so in the interest of keeping it clean it was gralloched after the photo, only a quick ride back to where it was gralloched. He will be dressed this week and appreciated by a few no doubt.

Find the Core Lokts OK for my needs, never had a misfire and they shoot around an inch or so at 100 yards out of my rifle so fine for Stalking needs.

A fine beast, Bowland?

How are they doing in that area, I had ben the told the population had been shot hard and are now difficult to get on terms with.

It would be nice to have a few on this side of the Pennines.

There are pockets about but pretty nocturnal alot of the time so yes pretty elusive to say the least.
