Lord Geordie
Popped down to see mike today for a bit of a chin wag. Mike was rooting through the gatage looking for some paperwork, and found a few hide poles! This got me talking about mine bending when trying to push them into the ground. Mike found a few old broken pole ends. I brought one home to try out with one of my washing poles. Took me less than 50 seconds to knock this one out, using the bits salvaged from Mikes! steve_b_wales
When I used washing line poles, I made a few wooden wedges from 4"x3" timber. I drilled a hole slightly bigger than the diameter of the pole, into the wedge. All I did then was to press or stamp the wedges into the ground and fit the poles into them.
