lakeside1000
After 3 days of the most incredible weather, bright sunshine and very light winds, I set up on a local permission where there are normally a few birds about, but alas not for me, I could see several large groups of birds in the distance but they were not coming in my direction, despite a good number of decoys, including flappers and the magnet I only had two birds decoy in and accounted for just one, the flight lines of last summer and autumn were unused, the birds are still grouped in large numbers and feeding hard on some nearby rape fields, sadly not on or near my permission, it seems that patience is now the name of the game. JDog
Look out for fields which were drilled but not rolled yesterday. This wet weather will keep the tractors off for a good few days.
marsh man
Look out for fields which were drilled but not rolled yesterday. This wet weather will keep the tractors off for a good few days. Down here on the east coast we haven't hardly seen a dark cloud let alone any rain , drilling had been going on for a week virtually none stop , and the rape on some of the fields is now a foot or more high. Went to the garden centre yesterday and they were irrigating one of there fields, no amount of rain forecast until next week .
