hellier0437
i know that evryone seems to like the harris bipods, but are the versa-pods and rockmount bipods any good? harris seem expensive when compared to cheaper alternatives, is this just because they are better quality? Peter_HMR
Harris SL Swivel model 9-13" Although im thinking the notched legs might have been a better choice for me but it doesnt make much difference excellent bit of kit. If you look at it this way your buying quaility for life you'll never need to get another one or if you ever go to sell it they hold there value extremely well. Devilishdave
I have a harris 9-13 tilt and a 13-27 tilt to be honest I use the 13-27 almost all the time if I have any Bipod on atall. I had a harris copy before and as others have said they dont have the build quality. I had one fall appart on me when I was stalking. Fortunately my Guide had a spare to lend me. I would recomend what ever type you get strip the nuts and bolts and thread lock them Dave

Dunkield
Thanks, where's the best placeto get one? and the best price? The Sportsman is normally the cheapest in the country, but Optics Warehouse are pretty good as well. STOP THE PRESS! Sportsman have dragged themselves into the late 20th Century and got their website up and running! Not bad only took about 4 years... That just leaves Reloading Solutions to do the same now Sportsman Edited March 21, 2007 by stuartp

In the end SPARKIE got some captive nuts from work - job sorted. I t was a rock steady mount - had no other problems with it all and quality seems OK so far (touch wood )
