EMcC
I cannot get over this blokes name,. What I mean is, I cannot imagine a young couple at the maternity home being told they have a nice bouncy baby and they think, Hmm ! what shall we call it and the father says " I know lets call it John after me " but the mother suggests Lion or Tiger and then they settle for Bear. How stupid is that.

EMcC
So it evolved from Edward to Ted then to Teddy Bear and eventually Bear. My name is shortened to Eddy so that could be construed to Teddy I suppose, so Voila ! - I can also be called Bear. Still sounds a bit daft to me so I'll stick to Eddy. fallowbuck
He may be a Public school boy but "Woosies" just don't make it as Officers in the SAS.Dont worry, there will be a grit ,determination and ruthlessness in the "Bears" character. !
