JRDS
Have a 53 Plate which is a fantastic motor but only giving 22/23 mpg for me, my last manual gave 30 mpg so I was expecting 10% less so around 27mpg. Has anyone had one re mapped by Dynachip preferably for improved mpg as opposed to performance and if so what improvements did you see please? robbiep
I'd be very reluctant to chip a 12 year old car, probably with heavily worn turbo, bearings, etc. Could be just the thing to give it the equivalent of a heart attack.

My last TD5 had 185k on it and was still going strong engine wise, this has only done 89k.
Cosd
Mine is a 53 plate and mapped by previous owner. I do 50/50 motorway/town driving and get around 30mpg

R1nut
Just had mine done, not really had chance to see an improvement in mpg but it's transformed the way the old girl drives!!!
Alycidon
I have recently sold a TD5 auto Disco with 262,000 on the clock. In general driving it came back at about 26mpg but I did use cruise a lot so it rarely got spanked. If towing a box trailer that did drop significantly. As far as I am aware the only thing we did was to remove the CAT, there was a series of Cat thefts locally. It went MUCH better after that and sailed through MOTs. Where do you stand with your insurance or is it undetectable?
Cosd
Alive tuning is a name that regularly comes up when re-map is talked about. Not sure of the cost though. My only advice would be to go to somewhere that has a good reputation, it's something you want done right both to get what you expect and for the safety of the engine. R1nut
It's undetectable so no worries there!!! Dynachip knows his land rovers, I have seen a few that smoke really badly but with this map there is nothing. As for the reliability of the engine you get out what you put in, as long as it's looked after it will be fine.
