Tony Morris
Just in case anyone does not know petrol/diesel is a very dangerous mixture at any ratio. Please do NOT throw it onto a fire as it will 'flash back' to the container you are using. It burns very fiercely and the diesel content means it burns for quite a long time. The best thing to do will be ask a local garage to dispose of it safely. Please do NOT tip it into the waste oil container at the local recycling centre as it will make it almost into a bomb. Tony. As above, treat it as petrol..... with care... oh and if any of you guys out there on the forum have guns ..... please be careful with them also as they can be harmful if not treated as "guns" Edited April 11, 2015 by Keith RW
Chris Bb
I believe that diesel can benefit from a small dilution with petrol, <10%?, in winter. Therefore this mix could be a useful "additive". But, as has been said, nasty stuff to store at home and possibly illegal in the quantity given. One of our better laws, you can buy a 20 litre jerrycan, you can fill it up but you can't legally keep it at home.
Paladin
A good additive for rapeseed oil if you drive an 'old' oil burner of a 4x4. Too far for me. Or you could use it to clean any machinery, lawnmower, bike Etc. Edited April 11, 2015 by Paladin

wall90
waxing is still a problem if you get your diesel from Tesco fuel stations.had an aa man come and change a wheel on my works vehicle during the realy cold spell that we had ,got chatting and he said they were very busy attending vehicles that the engine warning lights were coming on,turns out all vehicles had diesel from Tesco and were waxing.
