Olliesims
I have the Eka G3 swing blade fantastic knife but do find that blade is a little bit too big for some tasks
old man
I fancy one to try, could be brilliant to have two blades in the hand not as usual, the wrong one?

activeviii
G3 is my knife of choice now. Bright yellow, kept sharp and has felt with 100 or so deer with no issues. On thing I hate is the case, its carp. The little tag is always in the way as you try to shealth the knife. Mines near cut through now. Would love a leather one if anyone what's to make me one. Have you tried using a dangler? I use a maxpedition tactie and paracord on mine. Makes it a lot easier to sheath. activeviii
No, just as it comes. I have just realised that I put is down somewhere on Friday, in the house, and don't know where. If I find it I will take a photo on the state it all gets in as I didn't clean when I got home Friday evening.
EMcC
I was given one of these as a gift for completing a level 2 portfolio for a guy. I was most surprised but I had noticed that he used one when doing his witnessed stalks. I did comment on it but didn't realise that he had picked up on my remark. It was one of the most welcome gifts that I have been given for a long time and since then has been used on quite a few Deer. I'm not sure I'd need such a handy tool for gutting rabbits tho. shootgun
I'm not sure I'd need such a handy tool for gutting rabbits tho. +1 . This knife was designed with the stalker/hunter in mind. I've got 2, and i must say there are brilliant knives, doing the gralloch is so much safer and easier.
G-Reg
I have both the EKA and an Outdoor Edge Swingblade, knives are identical apart from the type of steel. The O.E. Swingblade has a much more robust sheath so that hangs on my belt and the other in the roe sack.
activeviii
Yes, agree, I gave an outdoor edge to a friend, the plastic shealth was much better and the knife held a better edge but, the hinge and washers they use are carbon steel and rust with blood. Have to strip the knife to clean it properly.

If you send mel 3b a PM his good lady would be able to make you a sheath at a more than reasonable price.
