widgeon man
Swapping primers alters the burn rate and pressure considerably in home loads. You will find a lot of opinion on which is best etc........ Fed 209a noticeably so often increases pressures and velocity in lighter steel shot loads But unless you want to buy in lots of different primers and follow recipes to the T, stick with cx2000 primers, the most common euro primer, avg burn rate, and can be used in place of Ched 209 in American recipes. If you are subbing the primer, and unsure drop 20% powder and work back up, that's what I would do...... Just my o2
sitsinhedges
Drop the powder by 20% and you're likely to have a wad stick in your barrel. You can't work up shotshell loads and you wont know what the pressures are. To the OP, if it's American data a Cheddite 209 is most likely to refer to the CX2000
