Googleplex
Has anyone got a reloading chart for this calibre, I'm a novice just starting out, any help would be appreciated.
Underdog
Google it! What powder you going to use? They will have data for it too.
steve_b_wales
Its a very easy calibre to reload for. I use 12.5grn of Lil'Gun with small pistol primers. As mentioned above, look at the data sheet of the powder you are using or intending to use.
Alycidon
Lil gun can be a bit variable batch wise and is highly sensitive to the smallest weight changes. I would suggest the powders from Vit would be better suited to an inexperienced reloader, my Vit manual shows n110 and n120, the latter being close to Lil Gunn performance wise. Primer wise I use CCi BR4 and Fed205 Match in my 17Ackley Hornet, of late the former but that is only due to availability issues last time I bought a batch. A Am I looking at the right manual - I used the internet version? The max load for the 45 grain gives an MV of 2448 and similarly for the 50 grain, 2274. Without being silly, with Lil'Gun I get 2880 and 2770 respectively.
steve_b_wales
Each to their own, but Lil'Gun was recommended to me when I bought my .22 Hornet. I throw 12.5grn which 'fills' the case. It's accurate enough for me.

Im using same primers for my Ackley hornet but using Allianz reloader 7 powder and getting very very good performance from 20grain vmax single hole groups at 100yrds and point and shoot out to about 230yrds I highly recommend the powder and there's no issue getting it it's not quite as volatile as lil gun but 12 grain shoving a 20grn vmax at 3450fps
Underdog
Some got their wires crossed! Comparing 17-22 hornets powder wise and sensitivity is folly. Any 17 will be way more sensitive than a .224" barrel and so on!
SPARKIE
Not really my post was in reply to alycidon... And that reloader 7 is a very good small cal powder for hornets. I know lil gun is choice of a lot of people but talking to a lot of peeps in the states reloader 7 seems to be a good choice too being a slightly slower burning powder. Think it was jase1975 who was having issues with lilgun in .22 hornet over pressure and jamming bolts...it might be good idea for someone who's asking for help and new to reloading to try a slower burn powder.....I know mine ain't .22 hornet but .2 grain shoves mine 100ftps faster and shows more pressure signs. I think slower powder might be a bit more forgiving to a new reloader

I have no experience with lil gun.
