ShootingEgg
Hi all, my grandad has this single barrel hammer action 410. Can anyone on here shed any light on its details, gun makers etc?
guzzicat
Looks like a side lever folding "poachers" gun, button on left side of action allows gun to fold right up, made by various engish makers also imported from Belgium mostly by Elderkins, check proof marks for black powder only proof. ShootingEgg
It does have the side leaver. Not sure it had black powder proof though.. I was down transferring his chas Osborne onto my cert and took the photo as it had maker info on it.

Underdog
These guns are called poachers guns but not totally correct! Bird watchers way back when use to shoot little birds to have a good look and collect for mounting! Fortunately cameras came along!
