bryanhu2
Hi all what are your thoughts on the browning maxus thinking of getting one for pigeons
Big Al
I have a composite maxus and really like it. Quality gun. Mind you there's nothing wrong with Beretta semi autos either. Edited May 16, 2015 by Big Al

wymberley
For the hide, the 26" barrel is the best option I think
srspower
For the hide, the 26" barrel is the best option I think My friend Tom has one, best semi auto I have ever handled by far. Unlike many the balance is perfect and it points really well. And he has a 28" barrel but I agree a 26" would probably be more practical as it is incredibly long. But I guess length is a question of personal preference for shooting.
tomblincoe
I have a 28" Maxus and love it. I use it for pigeon decoying, wildfowling and rough shooting and its great. It is much longer than a 28" O/U but still very manageable in the hide and the speedloader function is excellent. The only loads I have had fail to cycle are 24g 65mm loads at a clay ground but to be fair the manual says a minimum of 2 3/4 inch and it cycles 65mm 30g pigeon loads without any issues. BellySlater
Have the 31/2 inch waterfowl and I cannot knock it - shoots clear pigeon all summer and heavy steel all winter - never misses a beat Edited May 19, 2015 by BellySlater
