i'm looking for a new scope to go with a new .22 rimfire, possibly a cz 452, and wanted avice about which one to get. I'm not too keen on spending much mre than £100, i no it won't be that good but that's all i can afford right now!wanted to use it for rabbits day and night and targets to 100m. are the cheap ones on ebay any good and if so, which one?

thanks in advance

I ordered a scope for a .22lr and havnt even applied yet, but i will do in 7 months :good:

It is a 6.5-20x50 simmons WTC, i have a contact out in America who is going to get it for me for a very good price, im sure that Dazzyboi will agree they are very good, i had a look through one at the CLA

Top top top scope :good:

Everytime i go down the range i always get asked

"is it ok if i have a look through that"

then its

"wow, nice scope" :good:

You cant get them in the UK i dont think but i ordered mine from America, cost £105 inc delivery, plus the import duty they stamped on it which was £30...very good scope for £135

:good: completely agree. the simmons w.t.c range take some beating for the money they cost. i have had a 3.5-10x40wtc on top of my cz for 8 yrs, although the scope has zoom capacity i must admit rarely move it off 6x the light pick up is superb, clarity very good a brilliant all round scope. i would not hesitate to recommend them. New they cost a little more than you are budgeting for if you are lucky you could pick up a second hand one for what you are looking to spend. if you can wait, save up a little longer and invest in a new one you will not regret it.

The simmons is an excellent scope and I deffinately recommend it. I bought mine mail order from a shop in Waco Texas and it cost 95 dollars ! at sale price. Had it about 4 years now and no plans to change it.

There are bargains to be had off ebay.....

Bought this not to long ago for my .22 a swift 3.5-10x44 for a grand total of £12

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1

Best "cheap" stuff is swift hawke simmons bushnell theres alot of good stuff kicking around for under £100 on a short range low recoil rifle doesnt need anything fancy.

IMO stay away from the unbranded or tasco stuff on ebay its pure **** a good hawke scope is the way to go
