rb5037
The day looked ok but it was heavy rain on and off. The hide was camo netting over and around my large fishing brolley (sp?)

Cranfield
It blends in well, but how easy was it to shoot with the umbrella up ? I find having any sort of a "lid" on my hide, puts me off. Not a bad picture from a mobile telephone.
The Sniper
Rb5037, Just an observation ,possibly on the critical side. Why did you set the hide up in an obvious space in the hedgerow and not use the lovely backdrop provided by the trees to either side ? rb5037
This field at the moment is just a field, was croped in '02 with something. (can't remember, *** maize) Next few weeks it's going to be planted with rape. At the mo' it's quit a good flight path and with the dec's they tend to show there faces. There are LOADS of black here too. That day i was vermin bashing so visibilaty was not that important, as you know, with a few black decoys the rooks will circle just in front of you and you need all the cover you can get with these *******. Didn't have that many pigeon on that day but the rooks went down well. how easy was it to shoot with the umbrella up ? Not that hard, this was in a trench so there was loads of head room. When i've done this sort of thing in a flat field, still it's not too bad. Not the easyest was to shoot but it beats getting you and all you stuff soaked. Why did you set the hide up in an obvious space in the hedgerow and not use the lovely backdrop provided by the trees to either side ? Point taken, i shoot this field alot and i normaly do the same sort of hide in the same area and have good days (sometimes ) habbit i spose. Looking at the picture now i can see your point, it's not that obvious when your really there.
Guest flightline
Looks good to me. Took me 1/2 hour to spot it. Don`t you get your feet wet though being in a ditch? I usually use a roof myself.

tiercel
If thats the case flightline you should have used the pigeons latin name, ie, Columba Polumbus. Not the name of one of our members Columbus Polumbus.
