ditchman
go on-line to "machinemarte" they do a range of winches.......whatever winch you use makesure its mounted onto something study and or a mounting plate to spread the pull-force.....what do you want it for ....red deer ? quads ? motobikes ? ditchman
hi thanks for reply. wild boar fallow and a small quad. Cheers if you are dragging meat....get a piece of rubber conveyor belt and strop it so you can roll the carcass on to it and it will drag easier..... al4x
Get it in a carcass tray and it takes little pulling. You have to be careful with pickups as most of the bed is lightweight. I'd look to fabricate something from the original mounts as they go onto the chasis

scotslad
Depends wot ur pick up is, but the FC usually weld a heavy frame that attach's to the frame/chasis. Also depends how often u use it but mibee a hand winch would be more adaptable, can get very cheap ones for 30 quid that would cope with deer/boar etc or get a decent tirfor copy tor 200 which u could also self recue urself if needed. Not so handy if using it a lot thou. I pulled a power board cherry picker out with my tirfor the other week when the heavy duty winch on front of his landy wouldnae move it, it was well bogged, althou took a bit of sweat.
