TaxiDriver
Sikkaflex a new piece of angled metal to what you have left ? Then nut and bolt the new mud shield to that ? Just stay away from the hammer drawer !!
ditchman
cut all the bad stuff off...that will leave you with about1/4" inch....cut new plate and get someone to MIG spot it on SLOWLY....that shouldnt mess the paintwork up....get someone that has 0.5mm mig wire on the drum...... failing that cut it all off and hire in a spot welder.....but you will have to touch the paintwork up... viking
today i did something thats been bugging me for ages as i couldnt work out how it went, and after my usual route through google images a lot of series 3 land rovers seemed to differ, but today i made my mind up that it wasnt going to beat me, pretty simple once id worked it out and been out and bought some longer rivets. . viking
and whilst i was out and about today, to nice a day for working, i called into the local welding shop, asked about some co2 argon mix gas, £180 a bottle he said, then bottle is yours he said, no thanks, so i just bought a couple of them little things, im sure someone once told me not to bother with them but for what ill be doing they will be fine, unless they really are that baad and run out quickly, and as i totally can not see a thing out of my mask a decided to buy a new one, cheapest they did was £60 so a quick trip cot me just over £100, but what a difference proper gas and a mask i could see what i was doing with makes, i was more than impressed, i will never use just co2 again . . Lord O War
Hobby gas is the way to go for diy stuff. Oh and that thing on the dash that I though I didn't have well it turns out I may have it. Well it was in the photos of the landy before I took it apart so it must be with all the trim bits in the garage. I will look on my next transport of new bits to my mums. viking
rite, today i went to put the rear door stay on, so put spare wheel on so i could see where it all went, wheel wouldnt fit on the normal way as the bracket wasnt long enough, so had to turn it around, then i found that i couldnt get to the door handle then i realised if i put some wheel nuts on so that it didnt go all the way back, then some more nuts on to secure it, i could just about get to the handle not put it on properly yet though .
