why dose nothing come with nuts and bolts or screws, iv had loads of things/parts where iv thought, why not put some ******* nuts in the box, for example, the square fog light, just 2 little nuts, probably cost a couple of pence, but no, now i have to go out and find some, same with the brake pipe clips, same with the rear reflectors, 2 little screws, a few pence,hunter.gif.pagespeed.ce.GRvNRKGFmJ.gif:no:

I've had some beautiful finds on mine, the completely fubar propshafts, the gearbox that contained approx 50ml of oil mixed with grey paste and the chassis welding that had used body panel metal not nice thick 2mm steel. Oh and the paint that changes colour if you rub your thumb nail over it.

That is Britpart for you. Ordered some new Defender door handles that came with nothing but you had to drill the old ones off. You spend more guessing what size / length you need that it takes to fit the damn thing.

you say you have a hole in your rad'.........

so have i.....have to put about a pint in every week or so......................had a look on machinemart...and they have a bigger electric soldering iron than the normal one at £42.00 suitable for plate (thinish)...so will get that and some cored LEAD/2% tin solder...the proper stuff from B&Q..............

clean it and solder it....(radiator out)

not much done today, just faffing about thinking about this that and the other, got some nuts and bolts and screws as spares as im always short of something despite my full nut and bolt kit.

took the lenses off the rear lights and screwed all them in properly, put the horn on, not sure if thats where it goes but it seemed right, went to put my battery tray in and realised the new frame i got is 12" and my old one was 14", but i dont know why it needs a plastic tray anyway :lol:

painted it is then, think i will get them done, and if there not good enough ill sell them on and buy new ones, any idea on the cost of shot blasting and painting, this place is 4 mile away, i have my mate who did my shot blasting for free last time, but hes 15 mile away so its a 60 mile round trip, then id have to take them to the painters, so was just thinking of getting it done in the same place,

if you chip a powder coat ...more difficult to repair.....and because the finish is far superior to that of paint ..it will look out of place.....get the rims sandblasted..primer and couple of top coats..................

you are using tubes arnt you ?

shot blast them and you spray them..........................

prime them as soon as possible after shot blasting.......
