Davyo
yes pretty much that! howe big of a lift Is on yours pal? tbh I really can picture them going anywhere after what I did the other day I think it's 3" but stood side by side with a standard jimny it seems like 6".The guy I bought mine off had it done correctly, correction bushed and all that stuff. The only down side is its a stiff ride but awesome off road, only used 4WLD once and that was purely to test it out.The car is that light it just plods on in 2WD,for what I use mine for standard would be ok.If you do go down the modification route be aware that insurance will be affected as their slant on it is,you have a modified lift so they will assume you will go off road.Fuel wise not too bad,but if you don't drive like a loon( why anyone would in any 4x4 is bond me) then expect a low return.Im already looking at the prices for a newer one as only intend to keep this for 2 yrs but wouldn't even bother looking at any other 4x4 ( defender I would love but at those prices Noooo) as the jimny does everything I need it to & ample room in the back ( seats removed and floor steel plated). loriusgarrulus
My cheapest insurance for the Defender was with Lancaster. They include off road and greenlaning as standard on their 4x4 policy.
