Scully
Was out with dog and gun first thing and discovered crows, jackdaws, pigeons and Greylags (?) on Tritikale stubble. Far too many to count . Had told mate that underneath that Ash would be a good place as there is a flight line which runs over some Common Alders and along a shallow ditch to the Ash. Working from home this week so could have wangled it, and as tempting as it was I know the last of the spring barley is coming off later this week so will save my time for then, when mate is off and two of us can get the numbers up hopefully. Niggles though, walking away from such a scene. Geese made a spectacular sight and sound going overhead.
WelshMike
That shows some mighty high level of restraint. Hope you have a cracking day when you manage to get out.
JDog
My bet is that they will be elsewhere when you go.

My middle name ....'restraint'. Not really, was chomping at the bit. My bet is that they will be elsewhere when you go. They were on this field 3 days ago after it had been cut, but not in these numbers, but I think you could well be right JD as I could see the muck spreader had been over part of the field so no doubt the stubble will be turned over as soon as the rest is covered. This field is about 200 yards from the spring barley crop.
sako751sg
Very hard to beat the noise of the geese for sure fella.Still loads to cut here and some places will struggle to get it in at all.
