CaptC
Has the No 2 gun been stamped "2" on the rib because, if I may say so, the engraving around the dolls head extension looks different? The drop lock was a very good gun. Thanks
B25Modelman
I think the word matched means not built as a pair. The serial numbers clearly indicate that. There are engraving differences.
panoma1
Nearly ten grand for two box lock guns? Good luck with that!

With respect, they are a composed pair - certainly not a matched pair?
JONAH898
Shouldn't a matched pair have consecutive serial numbers?
panoma1
If they have non consecutive serial numbers they are not a matched pair they are maybe more accurately described as a composed pair!
CaptC
If they have non consecutive serial numbers they are not a matched pair they are maybe more accurately described as a composed pair! As I said above. I'm not knocking the sale or the integrity of Powys Guns but at nearly £10k they should be more accurately described? cyffylog
Appart from being boxlocks, the guns are not that similar after a close look at the pics. I would say £7k more than they should be.
bruno22rf
They do seem to just pick a number then add ten-seen them advertise guns for £500 on this site then sell for under £200 a few weeks later- I know cos I bought it!! Must admit, however, that they are some of the nicest people I have ever bought guns from
