Grazy
I've now decided to bin the cans and get a set of passive plugs as I keep catching the stock, even on the thin Howard Leights I have. Having had a good gander on here it seems there is not a lot between them, even the prices are roughly the same. Does anyone have any views on these? SneakyD
I have a set of CENS passive plugs, I find that I can wear them all day comfortably. They do a good job of blocking loud noise whilst still allowing me to hear what is going on around me. Hope this helps.
Cranfield
I have used the Emtec Noisebreakers for years(on my second set) and think they are excellent, most shooters I know have them.
Stonepark
I have emtecs (filtered. custom, expensive. Comfortable, filters keep falling out), surefire ep4 (filtered or solid, comfortable, reasonable but can fall out if caught on hat), sonic 2 (filtered. Semi comfortable, reasonable. Not highest snr) You can get silicone 2 part solid blue moldable earplugs (5 min to make) for less than 10pounds usually sold for motorbikes on evilbay. Currently using homemade emtecs replicas with sonic 2 (use motorbikes mouldable to make pattern, cast into plaster of Paris and then use 2 part skin safe silicone, sonic valves and some wire to make channels) - not quite as neat as emtecs but seem to work fine Edited September 13, 2015 by Stonepark
malmick
CENS passive are fine, 12 bore, .308, .223, .22RF pistol 12" barrel, .44 and .357 carbine rifles no problems at all for a full day shoot. Highly recommended. Cheers, Mick
