greatest ever weapon

Simple, if you are in a confined space and someone has either an ak, barret 50 or a longbow they stand no chance against someone who knows what their doing with their fists/eblows/legs/etc

The other reason unarmed combat are the greatest weapon, is because they are inconspictous, capable of many tasks (making the coffee, or even typing on PW) and something everyone can possess. There is also a sense of achievement/honour when facing another bloke each of you only having your own body as a weapon.

Sense of achievment or honour! What a load of **** I'd rather go in tooled up and know I stand a chance!

:good: Can't argue with that!

lol, fair play but people shouldn't overlook their own body as a lethal weapon. Also there are circumstances where you cant go 'tooled up' snakebite lol.

If there's some big dude wanting a rowdy with me down the pub, I'll avoid it at all cost. No fists involved. If he doesn't go away, smack him with a stool when he's looking the other way. I don't care how big he is, he wont bother you again that night. If you get your fists out, he may beat you. Self preservation tells me to put him down ASAP. Only a coward attacks from behind, but only a fool risks getting hurt :good:

lol, you never thought of placing a well aimed sidekick to the kneecap? Break is knee and cause lots of tears. Believe me that is far more effective than grabbing a stool! I suppose at the end of the day its what you feel comfortable with, I used to do kickboxing, karate etc for a good 5+ years so would feel reasonably comfortable in such a situation breaking the blokes knee cap or kicking him so hard in the balls a medical team would take a month to retrieve them but I can see (esp if your short) that in some circs you would rather use the environment or a big shiny weapon!

Don't get me wrong if I was going into Iraq I would be taking a M4 not my bare knuckles but at the same time if someone attacked me in the street I would know at least I have by body as a weapon to provide defence.
