Grandalf
This is a beard - Ten minutes extra in bed every day of your life. The fishing was OK too...
pimpkiller
Apparently cleanliness aside the itch happens when the hairs grow long enough to start to curl over and scratch your skin
Grandalf
A beard doesn't itch any more than your hair does. Designer stubble is not a beard.
a303
As daft as it sounds, found using head and shoulders on my beard daily stopped all the itchiness. Treat em like your head hair and you'll have no bother.
Grandalf
That's right. A beard is just an extension of your hair. Shampoo and a comb is all you need.
pimpkiller
Im having a crack at growing a beard myself through laziness rather than look. It takes some dedecation to put up with the patchy itchy cat weasel thing after spending 35 years beardless
Laird Lugton
We had a bloke at work on the IT support desk who looked like the bloke who tried to blow up a plane with his shoe. He was soon nicknamed 'shoebomber'. Before you know it HR were involved and we had to stop. Killjoys. He got a payoff. Probably bought some new shoes. You could try the same. That is so funny, almost spat my coffee out on the screen….
Laird Lugton
Grandalf was that one of your old Air UK shirts?!
Grandalf
How very observant of you Laird Lugton. We were issued with eight every year. Due to my job I spent most of my time in civies so when I retired I had boxes of them. They became my work shirts. Last forever - I've been retired for 11 years and some of them I have nev worn yet. Fisheruk
I grew mine when I was 18. That makes it 50 years. No wonder its turned grey.
