Cawdor118
As per the title, I was down on the farm tonight and for whatever reason there were 50+ mallard flighting in close range to a stubble field. I must mention there is no pond. Would they be regarded shootable? Please don't rip me apart too much lads... Rookie questions. Cheers

motty
Get shooting them. Remember, non toxic shot must be used unless you are in Scotland.

superspark
Sounds like a few more duck for the freezer, get in there as long as there in season and no toxic shot used in England and Wales
anser2
Good luck and get a flight in quick. Stubbling mallard have a habbit of moving on after a few days or farmers have an anoying habbit of ploughing in the stubble before you have a chance to shoot. So do not hang around. I have had some of my best mallard flights over stubbles. Wear pale and not dark jackets and you will be able to move out into the field once it gets quite dark without the duck seeing you.
