Colster
Anyone tried one of these nv dash cams you can get on the bay for less than a tenner? Got a bit of a plan to try one along with a T20 ir torch as a bit of a boost to use while lamping rabbits. Anyone tried something similar? oowee
Sounds worth a try. I made my own with a camera its great. Key is to get the spacing between the camera lens and the scope lens the right distance (you need a short focal length.).The cameras are less than a tenner but you need a screen etc etc .... Colster
I was kind of planning to still use this as a dash cam for spotting with the lamp off on large fields/meadows etc
FalconFN
I'm afraid you'll struggle to get any image worth having as the lens will be very wide-angle and the camera will be about as sensitive as a very insensitive thing. I understand the thinking, but It has been tried before and with little success. If you want to keep it simple then you can get a cheap Sony CCTV camera, 50 mm lens and screen for not very much money and just plug them together - no re-wiring needed. A cheap but effective camera would be one with a Sony Super HAD II 700 tvl sensor.
Lampwick
I'm interested to see how this maps out. Had a quick peek on eBay and found this 201381435303 Ebay item number What do you think?
FalconFN
Seriously, save your money, it will be useless. These cameras have very wide angled lenses so what you see with your naked eye will look at least 3 times further away through one of these cameras. They are not sensitive enough to pick up IR at any sensible spotting range and they are really only moderately good as a dash cam.
Colster
I'm interested to see how this maps out. Had a quick peek on eBay and found this 201381435303 Ebay item number What do you think? I bought this one 131487500747 Only because it was a bit cheaper and supported SD memory cards Falcon is probably right but just something to tinker with and the T20 I bought to go with it will probably work well with an NV monocular Edited October 19, 2015 by Colster

activeviii
Save your money. Lots have not listened, lots wish they had. You will be buying a don't camera, screen and battery within a week of that one turning up then a couple weeks after you will be buying and e700 camera. Another screen and a dsa like everyone else.
